Ya Don't Want to Be a KC Fan Today. . or Tomorrow

They traded Andy Sisco, a 24 yr old monster-sized lefty with a HUGE upside to the White Sox. . . for a 31 yr old vanilla ib/of backup.

How does the KC GM not figure out the value of pitching, young pitching?
I'm not a KC fan but even this makes me sick for KC fans.

And I also am thinking how great it would be if Sisco's new residence was in Milwaukee!

Very questionable

Moore already unloaded one power arm (Burgos) and now Sisco is gone as well. Plus KC has plenty of talent at the 1B and OF positions.

On the other hand, a real nice pickup for the Sox. Sisco could fill the gap left by Cotts' departure, although he probably won't be as effective. Sisco has good stuff but control is an issue for him. But, like you said, huge upside.

this is the second organization who has let him go (the cubs didn't protect him in rule 5 a couple of years ago) ...here's an interesting take from a hardcore royals fan. . It seems pretty clear-cut on paper, but according to Rany there are perhaps reason to move him.
