I knew the Brewers had a tough schedule thus far, but the amount of percentage points is wild. They have an SOS of .550. Clearly tops in the leagues. I would hope that this will predict a record endeing up at +90 wins if they can beat the slobs. BUT, we also play in a awefully tough division. We shall see!!!

that would be nice. As y'all probably know, this is a big reason why the Crew does so well in the Prospectus rankings that Jamie has mentioned a couple of times.

I think I tinkered around with these numbers before last season, and found that Milwaukee's SOS in '04 was among the highest in baseball. Not that it would've mattered much with the '04 team...

the reds

went 4-1 against the astros and cardinals recently. that is not strength of schedule.

I'm sure the Reds will have a great year, they're this year's version of the 2005 White Sox, etc. etc. etc. I'm sure they don't have a date with destiny for fourth place in the division. :)

i know it's only a little over a month into the season but from what i've seen, they look like they could really challenge in the division.

They may be better than I had predicted

but I just can't imagine that Bronson Arroyo is really. this. good. It might be his first time around the league...I don't know. I had the Reds pencilled in at about a .500 team, and they may be a bit better than that, but I 'm not convinced I should change my mind just yet.

if the division really is this good. i think a .500 record in the central is respectable, which is where i also see the reds ending up.
