John
This is some seriously awesome stuff as always and we should discuss it in detail.  I have to run right now but I will be posting my thoughts on these numbers tomorrow.  Thanks for posting this.

Some thoughts
Obviously, the starting pitchers have more leverage on a game than most other players will. And they're not going to contribute much offensively unless they're named "Gallardo", "Owings", or "Kieschnick", so they lose points there.
But still, it's not a good sign that 4 of our original 5 man rotation fill the bottom of the list.

Estrada
Any surprise that he's the only position player on the Brewers' worst single-game WPA list?

These numbers should warrant
a "Godfather" style McClung hit on Aramis Ramirez next year.  I'd like to see Ned start off '08 exactly where he left off.
If A-Rod hits A-Bombs, does Fielder hit F-Bombs? It's dumb I know....

Ode to spring.

I like the snow as much as anybody who likes snow. I even don't dread shoveling. Still, I find myself anxious for spring.

Why?

I can't wait to play hookey from work or school and make it to a game at Miller Park. I want to have the money I save now go to a goal other than just tuition and bills. I want to sit behind home plate and watch Brauny hit a monstrous homer.

And that, my friends, is all I want for Christmas - spring.
