Quick note on Estrada
According to metsblog.com, the Mets offered Johnny along with Lastings Milledge in today's trade with the Nats. The Nats DECLINED. It sounds like the Metropolitans are just going to release Estrada.
Ahahahahahahahahahahah!

hmmm
Now, I think that Mota for one year is a decent gamble, but I'm just sayin' there's two sides to this coin.

I don't know about shooting down,
The really interesting thing, to me, will be to see where Estrada goes if the Mets do give him the 'ol heave-ho (and how much he gets in years and dollars).
I'm really interested in Mota.

I got your back, G!
Worse case scenario, we traded someone we don't want for someone who may just be a mop up reliever. More likely, though, we traded for a guy who, though perhaps not dominant, will be a useful addition to our pen, one that most teams would like to have. I imagine New York fans are slow to forgive, but I think they'll regret giving Mota up for so little.
Agreed
better still
