Missing some information
Those averages mean nothing with plate appearances.  If you have that handy, it would at least be more meaningful than a blank post.

If you want to avoid small sample sizes, post everyone's last 3 year, or career, numbers, and then look at the PAs they've gotten, and at what position in the lineup.

ahem
"mean nothing without plate appearances" is what I meant, of course.

True - >25 PA
However - they had to have at least 25 appearances - Don't have the numbers handy at the moment.

The 3 year average would pretty much cancel the short term numbers I was trying to convey.  I'm trying to avoid LARGE sample sizes.

What have you done for me lately type numbers.

well with the starters your pretty sure you've got at least 25 appearances. I was surprised when Nedly said the starters haven't done it either in the last 25. It sure looks like that is the case. With these numbers I don't get why Gabe Gross has been the DH. I did see the crew yesterday in detroit. Sheets looked good and some timely hitting. Hopefully they can roll into minnesota and continue on the upward move.

I was in detroit yesterday. I know this is off topic but I was very impressed with Comerica Park. It just makes Miller Park look and seem more and more sterile. There are tigers statues all over the place. It's a beautiful park. CAn't miller Park add something to get the sterile look out of it.

Thanks for this
Our son will be attending a game in Detroit as he heads to Wisconsin for a family gathering. I forwarded your post to him.  I'm a little envious...

These stats
tend to confirm what a lot of us have assumed

Hart, Braun and Fielder have been producing, while Hardy, Hall, and Estrada have not (not to mention the weak Weeks) These last three will "smell the coffee" again soon, I'm sure. Then, look out, baby!

Graff is a decent hitter if he gets the ABs regularly, even though he's no substitute for our expectations for a healthy Weeks

Ditto for Mench. These two probably don't belong in the upper half of the order, but they serve well as "role" players (You never know when a JJ Hardy will take on a 260lb catcher at the plate again...)
