Gamethread #144 RIP Marty

Tonight the Crew sends out Yovani Gallardo against Brian Bullington for Pittsburg.

With a small sample size warning, I can tell you this: While Bullington gives up 5 runs every three innings, he also gets a hit EVERY TIME HE BATS!!!!

Anyhow, Your Milwaukee Brewers:

Weeks 2B
Gross LF
Braun 3B
Fielder 1B
Hart CF
Jenkin LF
Estrada C
Hardy SS
Gallardo P

Note to the Nedder: Pitch around this Bullington guy- he hasn't made an out this whole year!

Go Brewers!!

He had more hits than runs allowed which is still pretty impressive.

C'mon Rickie!
hate that getting doubled off first on a line drive to center

Was it a hit and run?
It'd be a bit more understandable then.

Don't think so
I was a litte distracted, but I think that it was just bad judgement by Weeks.  It was a sinking liner that looked like it had a chance to drop, but with no outs he has to be sure on that.

by sheeter on Sep 11, 2007 6:15 PM CDT up reply actions

First inning
I was surprised Rickie got on base without drawing a walk and then I was surprised by him, of all people, getting doubled off first on a line drive to center. Maybe the team can keep surprising me with two blowout wins here.

Heh
What would FSN do if every pitcher on the Brewers was really good and only gave up really cheap home runs to everybody? They wouldn't have anything to show during the other team's at bats, would they?

Let's see if Jenks

Laroche reminds me of me when he strikes out...
... I got hit by a pitch when I was 8 and I was scared of the ball.  I spent about 15 games of my first little league season after getting hit staring at pitches hoping they'd get to 4 balls before they got to 3 strikes.  Then I'd make irritated faces at the ump everytime he called a strike, even when it was right down the middle.

Sort of like Laroche just did.  He did the same thing last night too...
