Drew Anderson claimed by divisional rival!

In an underpublicized move, the Cincinnati Reds claimed OF Drew Anderson off waivers (subscription-only to BP, I couldn't find a free link).  I guess Moustache must've tried to sneak him off the 40-man and we ended up losing him.  There goes the mystery man.  I guess the most significant question regarding this move is, why keep him on the roster last month instead of Wise?

He had options left, I thought
When the whole Estrada/Mota/Wise thing happened, I believe the team intended to keep him around because he could still be optioned down to Nashville. I think he was DFA'd to make room when one of the multiple free agents signed.

Cameron, I believe
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

hmm...
With Freel, Griffey and Dunn locked in there, and Bruce coming up soon, It looks like Drew will be competing with Norris Hopper and Jeff Fiorentino for the 4th/5th OF job.
I saw the overcrowded marketplase that is the brewers blogs and said, "Me Too!" The Chubber Lang Report
