Good Sunday morning,
Paging through my Google Reader this morning, I found this interview over at AZ Snakepit, featuring ALICE the AI chat robot's analysis of the 2008 Diamondbacks. After reading it, I was only left with one question:
Human: Would you be willing to manage the Milwaukee Brewers?
ALICE: I am not so sure if I would like to be willing to manage the Milwaukee Brewers.
So the search continues, I guess.
Also, if you don't read Baseball Musings, you may have missed their analysis of the Brewers' 2008 lineup. They're predicting a slight improvement, from 4.94 runs per game last year to 4.97 this year. Even if you read nothing else in the article, go play with their lineup analysis tool. Here's its pick for the best Brewer lineup in '08:
1. Weeks, 2B
2. Fielder, 1B
3. Cameron, CF
4. Braun, LF
5. Hart, RF
6. Hall, 3B
7. Hardy, SS
9. Kendall, C
I've been playing with it for about a week now, and haven't gotten a single lineup where the pitcher bats 9th. For my Whatifsports team, it actually dropped the pitcher in the 6 hole.
