shouse signs one-year deal

Brian Shouse avoids arbitration by signing a one-year deal today.
I assume that he will be getting a little pay raise based on his performance last season. We still have a number of players eligible for arbitration.

Heres the the link... http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/01/09/shouse-signs-one-year-deal.aspx

Good News
I'm glad Shouse will be back for '08.

$2 million...
His new salary according to the AP. Strangely, that's probably the going rate for a regular old lefty reliever these days...but John Donovan probably will chalk it up to the Brewers getting even crazier with their salaries.

I am also glad Shouse is back
He was a very stabilizing force on the Brewers Pen last season

The Bullpen is going to be the key this year.

My God Yost is coming back the 2008 season is already a disaster and they have not thrown a pitch yet. ;)

Brew Crew Ball is made with whole grains and contains bits of real grit. It's the perfect dessert for a playoff berth that's been in the crock pot for 26 years. Guaranteed to enhance your sarcasm and sense of irony!

Ode to spring.

I like the snow as much as anybody who likes snow. I even don't dread shoveling. Still, I find myself anxious for spring.

Why?

I can't wait to play hookey from work or school and make it to a game at Miller Park. I want to have the money I save now go to a goal other than just tuition and bills. I want to sit behind home plate and watch Brauny hit a monstrous homer.

And that, my friends, is all I want for Christmas - spring.
