dudes, i was at the dodgers phillies game last night.

super fun. my awesome neighbor and huge phillies fan, missy and i went to the game. it was an electric atmosphere. it has surprised me every time ive been there how much more intense the energy is than at the beginning of the season. i have gone to about 35 games this season; and the acquisition of manny; love him or hate him has been huge for this team both on the field and in the stands. wish the brewers were playing. at least i got to see a matt stairs home run; which is a lot like watching a brewer victory... i posted a few pics from the game

In a class in college

we had to come up with a technical manual for a newfangled video teaching software package. The software developers called one of the more common video techniques “the talking head”

so, I obliged by inserting a few David Byrne (and Tina Weymouth) pictures throughout the manual.

Brew Crew Ball is made with whole grains and contains bits of real grit. It's the perfect dessert for a playoff berth that's been in the crock pot for 26 years. Guaranteed to enhance your sarcasm and sense of irony!

Ode to spring.

I like the snow as much as anybody who likes snow. I even don't dread shoveling. Still, I find myself anxious for spring.

Why?

I can't wait to play hookey from work or school and make it to a game at Miller Park. I want to have the money I save now go to a goal other than just tuition and bills. I want to sit behind home plate and watch Brauny hit a monstrous homer.

And that, my friends, is all I want for Christmas - spring.
