Rob Bryson to have shoulder surgery

"As for the rest of Bryson's year, he joined Cleveland's low Class A team, Lake County (Ohio). He pitched 121¼3 innings in seven games and was diagnosed with a torn labrum. He will have surgery Wednesday.

Bryson spent time on the disabled list in August, rehabilitating the arm, but did pitch as late as Aug. 29, striking out two in one inning.

'My first day back on the mound everything felt fine,' Bryson said. 'But in the days after that, I felt pretty sore.'"

90 3/4 innings in nine games?

No wonder his shoulder is gimpy.

i see even crazier numbers

it reads 121 + 1/3 innings in 7 games. That’d be insane. I sense a typo.

don’t know where you got the 90 in 9 figure from because bk didn’t paste that.

I saw 121, then the fraction 1/4, then 3

121*(1/4)*3 = 90.75

3/4 innings is a neat trick

And neck size to baby eating ratio.

Dropped third strike?

jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner

The way the article reads...

Maybe it’s 12 and 1/3 innings in seven games? That’s more believable than like, freaking 121 innings.

Color me confused: 121¼3

Is that a number? I read that one hundred twenty-one, one-fourth three. That does not exist.

And neck size to baby eating ratio.

Ode to spring.

I like the snow as much as anybody who likes snow. I even don't dread shoveling. Still, I find myself anxious for spring.

Why?

I can't wait to play hookey from work or school and make it to a game at Miller Park. I want to have the money I save now go to a goal other than just tuition and bills. I want to sit behind home plate and watch Brauny hit a monstrous homer.

And that, my friends, is all I want for Christmas - spring.
