We're Mugless Today
KL's internet is down, and I've got a ton of work to do before heading out to Game 2 later this afternoon (I know, I know, don't feel TOO sorry for me).
So, consider this your pre-game open thread. Anything interesting on the Interwebs--throw it in the comments for all to see.
Thanks!

Sabathia trade news
That guy Eli that runs NTR MLB Rumors says Brantley is the PTBNL.
Rob Bryson is having labrum surgery.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner

I could've sworn that said we were muggles
I thought you were giving up on postseason magic too soon. But then I read it again and realized my error.

the Brewers are magical, although we may not be
Can you doubt this after seeing a season of CC Sabathia?
Also, the team has at least one guy with a wizarding-appropriate alliterative name. (And another who would if he didn’t go by his middle name.)

Don't worry
I read it the exact same way and took a second to ponder if I was totally missing the connection between that and the Brewers. Looooooooong day!

Snarkey Remarks
Quick someone make a snarkey remark, that way I can pretend we had the mug and my mugless shakes will stop.

3 days rest is good!

This game is huge today and CC is calm

lol
the first several posters on that blog are women.
odd that. I thought a majority of baseball fans were men. But I guess there are more hardcore female Braun fans or something;)

Lineup today
CF Mike Cameron
2B Ray Durham
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
SS JJ Hardy
RF Corey Hart
3B Craig Counsell
C Jason Kendall
P CC Sabathia
Not bad… maybe the defense improves… and Counsell shows why he is clutch in the playoffs!

now if only they would realize they need a non-Hart option in the outfield

Gah
when these Rays fans finally go to a game, they bang cowbells like lunatics. Quickly becoming unwatchable.

Slightly better
than thundersticks, I suppose.

Thundersticks are better.
Throw in a monkey, and you’ve got the makings of a great playoff game. As long as the Angels aren’t playing the Red Sux, apparently.

I miss hearing the Heckler guy between every pitch

I sat next to him in 05
He has kick ass seats in the what they call the Kane section I believe
Not a bad deal for $200.00 you get a seat 50 feet from home plate and all you can eat and drink before and during the game they have not one but two small buffet rooms behind the seats one with fancy food and one with all ball park fair
I actually love catching a game at the Trop
Go Rays
If Loving CC is wrong I do not want to be right
