Uhhh....Hahahaha.
At least, that was my first thought. I was going to type: “If Jack Z hires Ned, I’m glad we didn’t make him our GM”.
But on second thought…coming in for a rebuilding team, Yost didn’t do a bad job. His letting players play through their slumps works….when you aren’t really contending.
If he hires Yost, it’s not a bad move until about 3-5 years in when they have a shot at being decent.
Eric Gagne DL time: May 23-June 29 Brewers record in that span: 20-9

The key is firing him before the symbolic 2007
I endorse Blengino.

my uneducated WAG
is that this is a hat tip to a friend and colleague to say that he is a fine man and a fine baseball mind.
If I’m wrong, the entertainment value of Yost as the manager would be huge though. Many fans at lookoutlanding were disappointed because Jack Z wasn’t a “stat guy.” Ned is kind of a stat guy, no? He does suffer from the flaws that several noted about the Z man though, he is old and white. Not sure how that’s fixed, but if Z figures it out, I’m breaking into his house and hoping the secret is good enough for me to ride out the probable prison sentence.

Riggleman took a job with the Nats.
although he’s still open to coming back and managing the M’s.
