Could It Be Macha???
TH reports that Macha is the strong leading candidate for manager, based on conversations he has had at the World Series. I like Macha, but I worry about how his tenure ended in Oakland.

I am all for Macha
if only because he will bench Kendall more after reading that quote in the linked article.

In a thread at Athleticsnation, one poster criticized Macha for letting Kendall pitch an insane number of innings. So maybe not.

That would definitely
be a vote against him.

He throws the pitch
and then, cat-like, lurches behind home plate to catch it. In 2003 he pitched and caught every inning the A’s played. He also covered center field on occasion. This is the real secret as to why Billy Beane was able to save so much money.
I endorse Blengino.

check out some of the posts and comments

Some are centered on how he never used his back-up catcher. Salty stuff.
