... didn't do anything to address the OBP situation.

Brian Anderson says he signed a five-year extension as PBP guy, and mentions that the Rock has also signed a multi-year deal (but not five?). Perhaps being stiff-armed by TBS hurt Rock's bargaining power. I question this move anyway: Rock's PECOTA projections suggest he will continue to flat-line.

Oddly, I find myself thinking this is a good idea

For whatever reason, The Rock is a lot more tolerable playing off of BA than Let’s Score Some Runs. We could do a lot worse.

"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

Please tell me

that i’m not the only one who hates anderson? I actually can handle Rock because he played the game and at least has some knowledge of the game. At least we won’t have CC anymore so anderson can’t call his 80-85 MPH slider a “CUTTER” anymore. To me it seems like anderson writes down baseball sayings/analyses used by Rock and puts them in an incubator for two weeks, only to regurgitate them pawning them off as his own.

he said cutter

even though it was a slider because that’s what cc called it in cleveland which helped him throw it more successfully. so, that’s not a mistake on anderson’s part he was just calling it what cc called it.

I'm going to rename my pitches

the AT0|\/| b00b, the tangotiger tsunami, the egalitarian eephus (ironically a fastball), and she sells sea shells by the sea shore.

I look forward to the announcers calling my pitches what I call them on national TV. Especially the first and the last.

Brian Anderson isn’t the greatest play by play guy out there (Gus Johnson takes the cake) but he isn’t terrible either. i say he is better than Bob Uecker right now as well.
