Nice
I thought Berkman and (irrationally) Manny would beat out Braun. Way to go BBWAA!

Was he one of the first place votes for Lidge?
I can’t figure those out. Where do you even start to build an argument for that?
If either of those voters also voted for Volquez for Rookie of the Year, they shouldn’t be allowed to write about baseball anymore.
I don't specifically articulate my motives, because that wouldn't travel as well as a boo does.

At least he owned up to it, I guess
I like that the BBWAA site screwed up Nate McLouth’s name.

Umm Chase Utley is not on there
Undoubtedly the best defensive 2b in the majors, hit .292/.380/.535, he’s 15th in the voting.
Howard’s one of the worst 1b on defense in the majors, and he hit .251/.339/.543 and he’s second.
Isn’t that mixed up? It used to be that the voters overvalued the high BA, good defense, fewer strikeouts, white middle infielder over a guy like Howard. I’d argue that Utley was worth a ton more than Howard this year— 20-30 runs more or 2-3 wins.
And neck size to baby eating ratio.

Yeah, but
Howard led the league in RBI’s! He’s a run driver-inner!

I expected him to finish second
just because that’s always how it is ;-)
Nah, I’m impressed he finished as high as he did. Honestly, given all the hype, I expected CC to finish above him.

Since no one else has said it
What were Pujols’ MVP chances before Carlos Villanueva woke him up in late August?
