Pitching Projections 2009
Second part of last weeks post, this looks at the Brewers pitchers as things stand now. Needless to say, we could really use CC back. Using Marcel's IP projections, the Brewers look like a -6.5 WAA pitching staff, but if we scale Gallardo, Capuano, and McClung's numbers up to a full season, it's closer to -3 WAA. That number, combined with the 6 WAA from the offense, puts the current Brewers at 84-78. Not great, but a couple free agent signings puts us right back in contention.

Macha
Just throwing out a number, but I have to believe Macha has to be at least a +2 over Yost. That get’s them to 86-76…
Congrats 08 Crew on a fine Wild Card achievement! What do you say we keep the next postseason drought to something a little shorter than a quarter of a Century.
I would say that it's more like Yost was a -2...
and would put them at 82-80. If only we could get Macha to use a relief ace system…
