Fall/Winter League Update for 11/7/2008
The Javelinas play the Peoria Saguaros today at 1:35.
In Mexico:
- Casey McGehee extended his hitting streak to 7 games, going 1-for-3 with a walk.
- Chris Woodward, who had gone 1-for-4 in each of his first three games for Mazatlan, mixed it up yesterday and went 1-for-3 with a double.
- Chris Narveson picked up his first win for Hermosillo, giving up one run on four hits and a walk in seven innings and striking out five.
- Alcides Escobar went 0-for-2, but did walk and steal a base. He's 1-for his last 19 for Lara.
- Hernan Iribarren went 2-for-5 with a stolen base for Lara.
Finally, for the first time, In Puerto Rico: Steve Bray pitched 2.1 innings of relief, allowed only one unearned run on one hit, and struck out two.

Hernan keeps hitting
Narveson does well. I still want to know which decision maker voted to have him start last year with the major league club – just out of curiosity. Are there any non-Jeffries guys above AA who could become a 4 or 5?
