As I mentioned on Wednesday, over the last several months I've had the opportunity to see a lot of great writers, and I was considering inviting a few to contribute to this space. As it turns out, one of the best is a relatively frequent contributor here, so I'm happy to announce he's officially a part of the team now.

You may have read TheJay's work over at Recondite Baseball, in the comments section of an awful lot of posts here or in any of the half dozen or so times he's broken news in the FanShots in the last week or so.

I'm thrilled to have TheJay as a contributor in this space, and hope you'll join me in welcoming him as well.

He did have a AAA MLE of .300/.438/.380/.818…
My proposal would be Mike Rivera for bullpen catcher and coach.

And neck size to baby eating ratio.

Ugh

I am wary of TheJay’s qualifications. I do not think he has been properly vetted.

On a serious note … is this a complete sea change? So it’s Snow, Jay, and roguejim instead of Sackmann, battlekow, and other quasi-founders? Granted I’m not going to stop reading (maybe I should write more on my soapbox website), but I’m curious as to what’s going on.

Battlekow is just taking a break

And I look forward to having him back whenever he’s ready to be back. But in the meantime, I’m gathering other fine writers and contributors to help out too.

I don't specifically articulate my motives, because that wouldn't travel as well as a boo does.
