Gamel in a landslide
Which is why I voted Jeffress ;)
Should go to prospect #3. Curious to see where the 3 catchers go in the end of this.

That is why I was going to vote for Lucroy – but didn’t want to skew the results

I agree
I was just trying to figure out how the hell I’m going to decide which catcher goes where.

KL, just curious how you are going to deal with the wide range of possible candidates once we get past prospects 3 or 4. I’m guessing that is when the voting will get interesting and a lot more diverse with some people getting votes that might not typically be considered.

I haven't decided yet.
Once we get outside the top 5, I may consider expanding the field to 10 candidates.
I don't specifically articulate my motives, because that wouldn't travel as well as a boo does.

I think that would be a good idea.
You could also include an “other” spot, in which the person could name their choice in the comments, though that might mean an extra amount of work, so I don’t know if you would want to do that.

The extra work isn't what I'm worried about
It’s the unlikelihood of creating a viable candidate that way. Yesterday we had about 50 active commenters, but about 300 people voted for #1. A fair number of our readers (and voters) don’t have a login and couldn’t comment anyway.
