I think I read somewhere that he wanted to play for Mexico but had yet to receive permission from the Brewers.

…but fortunately we finished that up 150 years ago.

Little known fact: Teddy Higuera has a scar from that war given to him in hand-to-hand fighting with Jamie Moyer.
