The dumbest thing you've ever read
The ridiculously unreliable www.MLBtraderumors.com links to someone who lists the brewers as a "dark horse" for Jake Peavy (I don't know how to link). I don't think he wants to come here, but it's fun to think about Sabathia signing and trading for Peavy. It would take many prospects (Gamel, Jeffress and others) for Peavy, but imagine ... Sabathia, Peavy, Gallardo, Parra, Bush.
I fullly admit this has 0 chance of happening, but it's fun to think about with the Packers playing so poorly.

MLBTR
Has become increasingly reliable over the past 2 years. The site leader openly admits that he didn’t really know what he was doing when he started the site and didn’t realize the difficulty in getting reliable information. However, now the site is pretty accurate and is basically just an RSS feed for baseball rumors. I really like what it’s turned into.
I'll warm up with you anytime

I thought for sure this was going to be about the “plan” for 3B from the JS story this morning.
A prospect rich team very much in need of starting pitching finally being linked to a widely availableSP? Not all that dumb.
Going into the season with the plan being a Hall/Lamb platoon at 3B? That on the other hand…

what about a plan to trade for Beltre?
"Nothing is working right now with a lot of the guys. We're trying to see pitches and see what we can do. ... I'm not going to sit there and walk, though. I'll eventually find it, and hopefully we'll still be in it." -Corey Hart

well, the site IS called mlbRUMORS
The guy he linked to said a bunch of things about a bunch of teams. mlbtraderumors mentioned in passing that the guy also "likes the angels and brewers as dark horses for Jake Peavy.
The Boston Globe says, “Watch Milwaukee as a dark horse for Peavy, and the Angels as well.”
I don’t know. mlbtraderumors is just reporting somebody else’s report. I’m guessing we just inquired about him at one point, and that traveled around as rumors often do. I don’t think you can call the site unreliable for mentioning a rumor.

Yeah, my point...
Was less that the site was unreliable, but rather the “dumbest thing you’ve ever read” is actually my completely irrational hope that we somehow land Peavy and Sabathia. I should have not mentioned anything about the reliability of the website and then people would have got to my main point- that a return of Sabathia and a trade for Peavy would create an insane rotation that would cause many Brewer fans to have a reaction that SNL recently referenced.
