Prince goes veg!

I'm sure quite a few of you have seen this already, but I just thought I'd link to it for those who hadn't.

http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=720531

A couple thoughts about the article:

  1. As a vegetarian myself, this just makes Prince all the cooler to me (especially when combined with his "dreadlocks in their infancy")
  2. The end of the article does make me question his sincerity a bit, though.
  3. Doesn't his wife sound like a bit of a battle-axe?

bunting?
anyone else see the jsonline video with prince bunting? i would be curious to know how many sac bunts prince has if any. i know he wants to be a complete player but he has far more effective ways of advancing runners. or does ned have some revolutionary lineup that will make all the crews pop less effective?

Maybe
if they do one of those Barry Bonds shifts on him, he can bunt for a base hit. Think how crazy everyone would go. He'd make the Onion again.

Ortiz has done that in the past
Just another tool in the arsenal for the Prince

C'mon, it's Ned
None of our sluggers is safe.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

Hey, if it keeps the weight off of him...
I'm all for it. The only real long term knock on Prince is the thought that he's going to eat his way into a DH spot. As long as the Brewers trainers keep him on a nutritional plan that gets him enough protein to keep his muscle mass up he'll won't lose any power.

Something like this, if he sticks with it, could keep him on the Brewers five years longer than he would have on the brats-n-steak diet.
