fantasy baseball brewers

King Kaufman has a funny video about fantasy baseball on today's Salon.com page.  Basically he says that fantasy baseball teams are like dreams; fascinating to you but endlessly boring to everybody else.

So with that in mind, I thought I'd post something that might help you snag some brewers in your future fantasy drafts.  I just finished 3 fantasy drafts over the weekend.  I missed out on some brewers I had targeted cuz others beat me to it.  Don't let this happen to you!  Here are the rounds where the brewers got drafted in my leagues:

league number: 1/2/3
round in which player got drafted: # / # / #
# rounds in each league: 22/25/22

Prince  3/3/2
Braun   2/4/4
Hart    8/9/10
Sheets  8/12/12
YoGa    10/10/8
Weeks   10/16/7
Gagne   10/18/16
JJ      14/19/UD
Bush    20/UD/UD
Hall    22/UD/20
Kendall UD/25/UD

I missed
Hart and Gallardo in my leagues.  I thought I'd be able to draft them later.  If you think they're major sleepers this year, it's likely that so do other people you're drafting with.

What kind of league did you draft in?
I'm only asking because roto leagues tend to have prince and braun first or second round guys. Corey Hart in round 10 is a steal and Rickie Weeks in round 16 is ridiculous.

leagues
they were 10 and 12-team mixed leagues from sandbox and yahoo.  I prefer fantasy point leagues to roto or 5x5, so you may be right about that.  In point leagues you get -1 for SOs and Es.

I was happy to select Rickie in rnd 16 in my yahoo league.  Some leagues don't have all that many smart people in them ;).

BTW, BP's pecota-based player forecast manager projects Rickie as only the 10th-best 2B.  He's still a pretty high risk.

Agree.
In the mocks I've been in, Roto 5x5 10-team, have Prince going late 1, Braun going late 2/early 3.

You really need to stop playing with 8 year olds..
in your league that is... letting Braun slip past the second, prince in the 3rd, Rickie in the 16th are steals.

"in your league that is"
nice save.  I think Dateline was about to send out its To Catch a Predator news team for a sting.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
