McClung trade bait Grant Balfour has been cut by the Tampa Bay Rays.

While he probably would never be considered for the MLB team after his stint last year, would he be worth picking up for Nashville?

Especially in light of the recent retirements of those two starting pitchers in Nashville.

Who doesn't want a guy named Balfour?

Plus, his numbers at AAA were spectacular last year. I wouldn't mind having him as an option at all, especially when McClung's on the major league roster.

From what I remember, Ned just totally misused the guy in the few days he was up here. Threw him right to the wolves. I would have liked to see him used in easier situations and build his confidence.
