Off-Night Open Thread

No Brewers tonight, and very little NL action altogether.  The only Central team going tonight is the Pirates, who are playing the Dodgers later on in LA.

There are some matchups of interest in the AL, including Red Sox-Indians, and Yankees-Rays, in which none other than Chad Moeller is starting behind the plate for New York.  Complete MLB scoreboard here.

You can also follow Yovani Gallardo in his final rehab start with Nashville at this link.  Go Sounds!

Randy Johnson's first start

Is he healthy enough to dominate the Giants? Stay tuned really late to find out!

The fact I am even thinking of following a AAA game

just shows how much of a baseball geek you guys are turning me into ;)

Its all about the Bullpen this season that is the key.

i know...

im watching the angels/rangers game... not too excited; but i cant pass by a baseball game so early in the season...

Haha Nice.

From what I have heard of the game so far, Yovanni's command is off tonight. 4 earned runs in 3 innings. I guess it is only about 40 degrees in Iowa this evening though, but that isn't that cold.

by zsattler on Apr 14, 2008 6:47 PM CDT   0 recs

cold weather

can't be comfortable, but generally it should keep run scoring *down*.

Also, cheese.

They're not in Iowa...

But maybe it's cold in Nashville?

Sweet

Well that last inning was a whole lot better. Struck out the side!

Seems YoGo has been giving up some runs in his little minor league stint. Is he actually pitching better than I think he is?

by iluvlamp on Apr 14, 2008 7:11 PM CDT   0 recs

so far

6 innings pitched, 6 Ks, 2 BBs, 4 ER

Good time for Prince's first homer

But hasn't he given up a bunch of runs in his time down there? I should just look this shit up but I'm busy. Nice to see 3TO doing well though. And maybe Rottino should start hitting a little bit.

Nine runs in 15 2/3 innings pitched

He has a 5.17 ERA but 18 strikeouts against five walks. He's also given up two home runs.

Also, cheese.

He's extremely quick and good.

Since we're stealing signatures tonight...

Is the 1.2M feed extremely quick and good?
