Sending Rickie Weeks to Nashville

So after a night like tonight there are few things to complain about, but I have found something anyways.

I think that a really big reason to our rough start this spring goes to the guy at the top of the order,  Rickie Weeks. He is batting somewhere below 200 and is striking out nearly a third of his plate appearances. A lead off guy needs to get on base. period. Make it a hit, bunt, walk, or hit by pitch, the leadoff man has to have an onbase percentage around 300 otherwise you don't win baseball games. Weeks' lack of patience at the plate often kills big innings and starts off games poorly leaving the meat of our lineup with few on the pound.

Last year Weeks was in the same funk until we sent him to Nasville for a few weeks. The guy that came back had a renewed sense of confidence and worked plate appearances and arguably was the hottest Brewer over the last month and a half of the season.

If we can jump start Weeks again by sending him to Nasville do it. I can't believe im saying this but at this point Councell is a better option for the brewers because he has long plate appearances and has patience. We wont miss Weeks at the plate and i think putting hart in the lead off, hall at five, hardy at six, and councel at seven the lineup would be alot better off. Hart gets on base. plain and simple. Councel will work a count before the pitcher and find ways to get on base as well. Its a win win. Plus if Weeks comes back rejuvenated we have another jump start to our lineup.

Is my thought really that out there? Why hasn't the Brewer management thought about this as well? Whats your thoughts on Weeks?
