Game Thread #7b: Extras!
Ok, Eric Gagne sucks.
But he's about to go 2-0!
Go Brewers!
UPDATE: I am complete idiot. When Patterson tied the game, I forgot that the Brewers got to hit again in the 9th.
Let's hope there are no extras.
UPDATE: I am still an idiot, but at least we're going into extra innings now. Gagne's a bigger idiot.

A new superstition...
I had been standing with the home fans, at my desk, with two strikes and two outs in the 9th. Scrapping that one.

Is specifically for Dunn as he is good against lefties. I guess a walk wasn't too bad there.

Gagne
I'm not making excuses, but that was a good pitch that Patterson hit. His speeds were a little slower tonight, but that Patterson, every once in a while, reminds us why he continually is given a job.

they throw really hard, so you don't have to provide all the power to jack it out of the park. fortunately that doesn't happen too often, but it does happen.

Theory
I'm guessing Ned is/was saving Riske in case the team doesn't win in the bottom of this inning. Torres will only get this inning unless he bats for himself, so Ned's probably setting up having Riske for multiple innings.

I think that's right.
And maybe not tonight either. With Bush going tomorrow it's a good bet the pen will have to go 4 innings tomorrow, and that's a lot easier if Riske throws two of them.
