The Fastest Mental Break in MLB History, Gagne says he's ready to close again

2 Innings and 1 ER after Gagne said this, "I do not deserve the ninth inning right now." He has an interview with Tom H. of JSOnline for the purpose of saying, "I had my mental break (Sunday), I'm good to go now. I know I belong in the ninth inning." It's good to see confidence out of our $10 million dollar man, but come on what has changed since Sunday that he suddenly feels as though its 2002 again?

He remembered where he hid his secret HGH stash

"He's been very, very impressive," Yost said. "I mean really impressive. I mean really, really impressive."

He did a good job yesterday,

but not good enough to be a closer. He only gave up one run yesterday, but he walked two .
The Brewers should keep him where he is and use Torres as the closer, possibly Shouse for lefties. Or they can continue the “closer by committee” thing they have going.

"Get up, get up, get outta' here, GONE!!!"

One so-so appearance

does not make him a closer again. He was successful a number of times, even this year, before losing the job. I need to see 3 or 4 good outings before considering him our closer.

The same article mentioned a visit from his wife, whom he hadn't seen since spring training...

... after he essentially fired himself from the closer’s job. Maybe she reminded him that the wasn’t likely to get another fat contract next year if he wasn’t a closer this year, and that while $10 million sounds like a lot of money, it’s not in Canadian dollars, so it won’t spend as well as it did when the US dollar was stronger earlier in his career… :)

Doug, please fire Ned.

Love,
Everyone.

She can warm up with him ANYtime

“Who’s the closer baby?”

He's extremely quick and good.

Mrs. Gagne:

“Yeah, throw that change right down the middle of the plate.”

Also, cheese.

So THAT's why he keeps throwing it up in the zone

Getting it too far down in that scenario can lead to problems.

He's extremely quick and good.

Hopefully

He doesn’t throw a “fastball”

Jeff Suppan is due to be activated from the DL on Tuesday. What should the Brewers do with the rotation?
  • Insert Suppan and demote Dave Bush to the bullpen.
  • Insert Suppan and demote Son of Clung to the bullpen.
  • Insert Suppan and use Bush and McClung in a home/road platoon.
  • Kick Suppan to the pen and keep Bush and McClung in the rotation.
  • Trade J.J. Hardy for A.J. Burnett and leave the other three guys alone in a room with a sharp stick and the knowledge that there's only one open spot on the team.

Robinade - only 12% juice, but 100% Robin.

I saw it in Pick and Save today, located in the milk cooler area with the other single serve tasty drinks (I apologize for the crappy resolution on my phone's camera... I've dropped it one too many times). I think it was like $1.29, so it's pretty fairly priced and a healthier alternative to the tasty sugar-filled sodas we all know and love.

It's pretty much regular lemonade, but it's definitely good - much better than Minute Maid. My sister says it tastes like Robin's sweat is in it...

How she knows what his sweat tastes like is beyond me...
A Pat Listach sighting!
