Also, cheese.

Looks like LaPorta has his HR stroke figured out

So the guy Jeff interviewed from the Marlins blog mentioned they might move Hanley this year

If that happens what they will want will be young talent far from arbitration eligible. Maybe a package of LaPorta, Escobar, and a pitcher might be enough. Adding Hanley to the top of our order would really look nice.

Having Hanley would make us one of the top teams in the league

That would be nice, but never count it out.

The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.

Hanley isn't quite as valuable once you realize that he really can't play shortstop

He’d probably have to be moved to CF, which is fine though.

He's extremely quick and good.

I am not an expert in the minors

But is our AA team good enough to beat our AAA team, is it a big jump and big difference in talent, it seems this year and in years past, most of our good players stay at AA for a long time, and AAA only for a few days.

Salt Lake Bees

We should move up Gamel & LaPorta to take on the 24-2 (Yes thats right 24-2) Salt Lake Bees. The Angels AAA affiliate is off to one of the best starts in PCL history. They are stacked full of major league ready prospects and it shows. Nashville starts a 4 game series against them today….and I don’t think they stand much of a chance. Moving up Gamel & LaPorta would make it fun to see if with could put up enough offense against them to win a few games.
