McClung to the Rotation, Villy to the Pen
Word from JSOnline that the Brewers have shifted around their rotation significantly, switching Bush and Suppan and moving McClung into Villy's spot. In theory the latter is temporary, but obviously we'll see. I'm not sure what this does to make the rotation any better, but maybe it somehow makes the bullpen better. I don't know why they made the other move. Something about matchups? Or the style of the rotation?

Suppan & Bush flip
Maybe they just want to separate the two guys in the rotation (Suppan and Sheets) who might actually go past six innings.

I think you’re probably right about the bush/suppan flip. as for moving McClung into the rotation, i have no idea. villy’s not great, but McClung barely cuts it as a long reliever.

kinda agree
not sure what villy’s problem is. But not sure McClung is the right guy. He seems to overthrow. We just need some starters to go a little deeper.
