Game Thread #50: Brewers (23-26) at Nationals (21-29)
This team is looking more different every day. Just about every pitcher on the 40-man roster is either on the DL or in the big league bullpen, and we've got Russell the Muscle back on the bench. What next--the Milwaukee debut of the Crabbe-man?
Game time today is 12:35 CT, and here's the BR Game Preview. It's Tim Redding vs. Manny Parra, who is down to a 4.40 ERA on the heels of a couple of solid outings. Redding is actually pitching considerably better--he even blanked the Phillies for 6.1 last time out.
Go Brewers!

Sunday Lineup
Guess even though it’s a holiday weekend we’ll still roll otu the Sunday line up. Hopefully 3TO can go deep on this!
I know I am the only one
pumped about 3TO, but I think Hall is just having a fire lit under him; so unless Branyan crushes it, I think it will be short lived.
Seriously I think he should consider having Lasik done during the ASB
Hall that is. He really seems to have a lot of trouble identifying strikes so far.

How long is the recovery?
I wish he would. I know he can hit.

I can't remember
if Jeter got time for his sex change or not.

Probably
It’s a perverse way to think about it but Doug Davis did.

Branyan
I wonder what number he’s wearing. Dave Bush has his number from his last Brewers go-round and Gabe Kapler has his other “usual” number.

bad luck
not a bad inning for Parra though. 12 strikes, 2 balls. The first ball he threw(that didn’t get swung at) was the wp.
This at-bat
will either end in a strikeout, walk, or homerun. You can put money on it.
Whenever prince is at first, he should charge the mound and yell "MEAT!"
Defying the Three True Outcomes!
What is this?
Whenever prince is at first, he should charge the mound and yell "MEAT!"
Through 1 AB
Branyan is hitting righties over six times better than Hall.

Nationals' injuries
If the Brewers had as many injuries as the Nationals do, would there be grumbling among fans about Yost’s warm-up program for the team?

In other games
The Pirates just hit their 3rd homer of the game. They still are down 4-3 though.
Shop the Pig!
I’m sure everyone knows the Tailgate Tips from Jerry Garcia.
Well apparently he’s trying to get more then just tips in his recent Craigs List posting.
Anyone know the rule?
What’s the actual rule regarding when the ump comes out to break up a mound meeting?
Ten pitch at bat and Corey starts the rally with a 2 run HR
Now Branyan with a non-3TO single again which he stretches to a double
Mike Hammerin'
At least we don’t have to complain the #2 hitter is hitting poorly anymore.

Probably temporary
The Wallbangers won because they played the game like kids! Let's do that again!!!
the obnoxious fan who has been yelling all game
finally shuts up. I hope its because he was tasered by security
Brewers are last in MLB in walks
It’s harder to like a team that doesn’t even conform to the style of baseball you like
He's extremely quick and good.
Best attendance for Washington since Opening Day
The Brewers are a national force.
He's extremely quick and good.
The Nats broadcasters are saying Dillard is throwing 96
That would surprise me greatly.
He's extremely quick and good.
Braun's line through his first 162 career games
.311/.352/.611, 47 HR.
He's extremely quick and good.
Why not look to the first five innings
where, once again, the Crew can’t move runners on base? Every loss seems to feature this.
PB does not equal a WP. Pitchers get the “credit” for WPs

Goddamnit!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-
There goes the chances for a .500 road trip.
Goddamnit!
Would the Brewers have won if Gagne wasn’t hurt?
Two runs on wild pitches:
Would the Brewers have won if Kendall was in the game?
