Keeping Pitchers in Too Long?
Does Ned Yost have a problem with keeping pitchers in too long? Friday's game at Houston has me thinking that he does.
Of course, this isn't the first instance, but it is the most recent in many cases of a pitcher showing that he is having trouble, and is left out on the mound to deal with it. I know that it is not possible to send in a new pitcher every time on the first sign of a problem, but it seems that Ned only changes the pitcher after it is too late.
Even as I am writing this, the Brewers are getting their asses handed to them in Houston. I've got to go cry now.

Is the solution
To have the bullpen pitch four innings three nights out of five? They’ll have trouble staying effective at that rate.

are the pitchers staying in to long...
or are they just ineffective the third time through the order? if the latter is the case, they should not be starters, they should be long relievers. villy and parra need to get their act together. they both have the stuff to be effective the third time through, they are just feeding pitches right down the middle. perhaps a lack of focus is to blame?
