Rotoworld sez
if he keeps hitting, Hardy might be traded by the deadline. That’d be a shocker!
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
AA Promotions
When does the club promote Gamel, Salome, LaPorta and Escobar to AAA? They don’t have a true 3B* with the promotion of Branyan while Rotino/Munson at catcher and Ozzie Chavez at SS aren’t exactly lighting it up this season. The only problem I see is for LaPorta with the backlog of outfielders we already have at AAA in Gwynn, Nix, the Hurricane, Stocker and Katin. Gwynn and Hurricane should be playing almost every day if for no other reason than to increase their trade value, and Mustache’s facination with Nix means he will be getting playing time so it from a roster perspective LaPorta may be blocked at AA until he gets the September call-up. But everyone else should be packing their bags. How much more can they prove at AA?
*And some can argue it still wouldn’t with Gamel.

I can see Escobar getting promoted
LaPorta should stay at AA for the reason you mentioned, unless we find ourselves dealing some outfielders at some point…something that hopefully will happen seeing as our outfield is set for the next several years outside of CF.
I don’t see Salome getting promoted due to the fact they told Rotino this spring when they sent him down that he was the organizations catcher of the future and wanted him to get everyday work there.
I also don’t see Gamel getting promoted simply on the fact that they want him to get as much work with Money as possible. If Gamel truly isn’t going to be affected by the move to face AAA pitchers they might as well keep him where he can get the best defensive education possible.
"He's been very, very impressive," Yost said. "I mean really impressive. I mean really, really impressive."

One additional factor that might get a Huntsville OF promoted
Lorenzo Cain is showing some real progress in his second year down at Brevard County, and the team might want to move him up midseason. That might get LaPorta or Gillespie bumped up to Nashville.
He's extremely quick and good.
