Around SBN: The USA TODAY/Bloody Elbow Top 50 MMA Fights Ever, I

Game Thread #31: Brewers (16-14) at Astros (15-16)

I really would not like to be swept by the Astros.  Fortunately, Ben Sheets probably feels the same way.  He's matching up with Chris Sampson, which normally wouldn't feel like a fair fight, but this weekend, it seems like Houston has been spotted three home runs per game.

I answered some questions for the SBN Astros blogger; you can read what I have to say here.  And here's the BR Game Preview.  The action starts at 1:05 CT.

Project-a-tron gives the Brewers a 57.43% shot at winning today's contest.  That's about the same margin by which it favored the Astros in the opener, and we all know how that turned out.

Go Brewers!

Well at least the game is in HD in the Milwaukee Market

So we can watch those Majestic Astros home runs leave the park and watch the Brewers Hitters fail with RISP in glorious HD

Unless DirecTV screws it up again and gives the Milwaukee market the San Diego HD feed something they have done at least twice this season

Its all about the Bullpen this season that is the key.

Failing with RISP

It’s always interesting how the team is still hitting above average with RISP but once they lose a couple in a row, that’s pointed to as a problem.

How may baserunners have they left stranded in two games in Houston?

Are you trying to tell me that everything has been fine the last two games.

Just trying to understand where you are coming from Jay that is all

I know a lot of you watch this game with little or no passion it is strictly about the numbers

but some of us cannot do that.

And I call loading the bases twice in the first 4 innings of game one and only getting one run failure

I call only scoring two runs against a tomato can yesterday failure This is supposed to be a Godzilla line up, a line up that should be able to carry a couple of young starters on occasion but on most nights lately has failed.

They sure looked above avg with RISP during that Marlins series

It must suck to only see baseball as a mathematical equation.

Keep telling yourself that everything is fine.

Its all about the Bullpen this season that is the key.

Yes, if you look at only the past two games, it’s a horror story. It’s a good thing the season’s longer than two games.

Considering his recent health

I would sit Sheets for the rest of the day.

If he didn’t have a “sore triceps”, I would send him back out there, but considering his health and his importance for the rest of the season, we shouldn’t push him too much yet.
