Lineup changes
Interesting Yost takes out the 3 highest OBP guys to upstart the lineup. I guess you will hear some people complain if he changes it, and you will hear people complain if he doesn't change anything and we continue to lose. I miss seeing Kapler play, but overall a win would be MUCH appreciated. I have let the Brewers start affecting my mood, so everyone who knows me would appreciate a win too.

Yeah
You know, I think we’ve all been wondering why JJ Hardy hasn’t had more opportunities to bat with runners in scoring position.

CF Mike Cameron
1B Joe Dillon
LF Ryan Braun
SS JJ Hardy

Strange
I’m surprised he sat Fielder or Hart… but this really might be a “rest” situation more than anything. Especially since they have to in Milwaukee tomorrow.
He's the round mound of profound
I know JJ hasn't been great in the 8th spot but
I’d really like to see someone faster than Rivera batting 8th. The pitcher is going to bunt if he gets on and Rivera is slow enough not to score on a single a lot. I know JJ isn’t a speed burner but he still is faster than Rivera.
Hardy batting 5th Theory
My guess is he’s been complaining about batting in front of the pitcher so much that Yost decided to make him “put up.”

The strategery
Yost is trotting out this lineup to ensure we get swept for the second straight series. This will motivate the team. Prince will eat meat. The guys will start to “rake.” The pitchers will come around, and we’ll take about 55 of the next 60 games.
Ned is a genius.

So if they score a ton of runs tonight and win
does this mean we sit Prince for a week or so
I do not get this well I get the Hart thing Ned hates Hart but why Prince?
If anyone needs a day or 4 off it is Hall he is must mystified at home plate right now.
I know he is having problems with his contacts and is going to have Lasik in the off season but why not just wear glasses if he does not like the contacts he is always squinting at home plate before each pitch Just watch him he always looks like he has a speck in his eye.
Its all about the Bullpen this season that is the key.

hall is still lost
i don’t understand why he’s sticking with that wide open stance, he is so late to the ball that all of his weight is on his back foot when he swings. he looks horrible when he swings and misses that pitch outside and all he can do is “flick” his wrists to try and catch up to it.
really, it’s a pain to watch. can you remember what it looks like when he swings and misses and is in “ok” shape afterwards?
zero balance.
Billy! close up that stance, get rid of that huge stride, stop ‘coiling’ up so much, get quicker to the ball and finish on your front foot. basically do everything the opposite.
Bring Back The Old Logo!
I am no MLB expert
but if Hall took a half step forward, halved the distance betweens his legs, and kept his hands in, he could pull the ball all he wants, because his bat is really damn fast. The only successful players I have seen with a stance like Hall’s don’t try to pull the ball on anything but inside pitches.
That JS story
... doesn’t cover the situation of how the Brewers fare with no Fielder at all in the lineup. How can I survive without the experts telling me if the Brewers’ offensive bellwether isn’t playing. The horror!
My non-embarrassing thoughts on the Brewers:
Two Fisted Slopper
at last
the way we are hitting, a change is called for. let’s hope these guys can dump in a few bloopers or hit some in the alleys. they can’t do worse than the regular lineup. and it leaves us some fine pinch hitters.
Fuck Ned Yost.
Once again he’s demonstrated that while he wants to win, he really wants to demonstrate that only he knows how to do so. So let’s not sit the sub-.200 hitting 2nd baseman, and let’s bench Hart (the best hitter the team to date) on the same day as Fielder. Oh, and let’s put Braun, who’s flashing a few signs of breaking out, in between Hardy and Dillon. If Braun sees more than one strike per at bat all night, it’ll be a miracle.
Fuck you Ned Yost.
Seriously.

That really puts him in exclusive company, doesn't it?
Since everyone else has been tearing it up. If you pick a different arbitrary starting point to his recent trends, he looks significantly better, but hey, obviously Ned agrees with you, so you’re in good company.
Doug, please fire Ned.
Love,
Everyone.
