Sunday's Plastic Cup
Ugh.
Not much going on, especially in the world of Brewers that don't suck.
Livan Hernandez is telling ghost stories.
The Orioles don't have a shortstop. But...could you build one with the parts of the scrubs they do have?
Joe Posnanski discusses something you might not have known about the Black Sox.

Wow.
That’s a lot of bitter.
Then again, I didn’t watch the game last night, so I can assume that we lost because the Twins and umpired cheated us, and not to our own errors (in play or judgment).
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

It was the field
“In right field especially, the sun doesn’t get in that grass, and at times the roots are real shallow and the ball will skip,” Brewers manager Ned Yost said. “Our outfielders know it, and it’s more an advantage to our guys than the guys who come in on the road, but that ball hit and skipped.”
I was a little concerned that Yost had cleaned up his act and wouldn’t revert to form, but those doubts are long gone.
Also:
Mota had pitched two innings in Houston on Wednesday and another on Thursday and Yost thought he needed another night off. Yost would have gone to Mota had the game made it to the 13th inning, but didn’t want to use him beforehand.“He was the last guy I was going to use,” said Yostg. “I felt like he could use one more day off.
but:
Yost had three other options in the pen: rookies Tim Dillard and Mark DiFelice and veteran Guillermo Mota. Dillard and DiFelice had pitched Friday night and Yost didn’t want to use them again, particularly with the game on the line.
So, Mota was the last choice, but was going to pitch the next inning before the REALLY last choice, and the REALLY REALLY last choice. And he wasn’t going to use Dillard, who pitched Friday night, and the previous Saturday night. Because he needed rest. I suppose it’s just me, but I think Dillard is the best option Ned has after Torres and Villanueva, and so his reluctance to use him is really annoying.

And what the hell is this?
But Brian Buscher - whoever he is - followed with a two-run single and the Brewers were done.
Haudricourt - whatever that is - is a prince of douchebaggery.
