Jason Kendall Wants Your All-Star Votes!
Okay, so the article doesn't quote him saying that so it seems like Dave Fultz--whoever he is--is speaking for the catcher. Either way, I'm going to hope you'll excuse me for not voting for a guy who's hit .217/.296/.299 since his hot streak to start the year (yay cherry-picking), no matter how well he calls a game.

I initially read the title as "Jason Kubel Wants Your All-Star Votes!" and was like, fuck that guy.
He's extremely quick and good.

Great arguments in that article
The two major points of contention in the article are
1) as you meniton, he calls a really good game;
2) he’s been to the all star game 3 times before.
I’m convinced.
I mean, he’s pretty much the same player he was back in 2000, right?
Don't try to do too much with it. Just take the ball the other way.

Yeah
Jon Lieber’s still a 20-game winner, too.

And Cory Lidle’s actually better than he was then.
He's extremely quick and good.

You have no concept.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

Ahhh...but you forget his defense.
17 of 40 would-be base stealers were thrown out by Kendall’s unforgiving cannon of domination so far this season. Plus, he does call a great game. How many times have we heard a pitcher say that he made a mistake because he shook off Kendall? Okay, once or twice, but he has Manny Parra and Seth McClung pitching like they have been starting games for years. He has also become a valuable voice in the clubhouse, a much-needed veteran voice among young players. I’m voting for him.
