David Welch throws 7-inning no-hitter for AA Huntsville
He also participated in a no-hitter three years ago for Rookie-ball Helena.
Pretty cool.

awesome
Does he project as a real prospect, or did he simply catch lightning in a bottle a couple times?

He's a C-level prospect, but you know how the Brewers love them some Australians
He's extremely quick and good.
he's someone
that doesn’t have the best stuff, but he’s consistently pitching fairly well in the minors. he could be a back-end of the rotation starter at best.

i think Welch is just grape. Though I think he owes me on a bet.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

I like how they don’t even note it was a no-hitter in the widget on the right side.

Funny
Huntsville’s other solo no-hitter was pitched by Tanyon Sturtze back in 1993.
From the same article: “The Sydney, Australia native had taken no-hit bids deep into ballgames before, but had never finished one before. While with Brevard County in the Florida State League, he took a perfect game into the eighth last July 26. He also pitched five hitless innings on April 28, 2007.”
