Yosted at Dodger Stadium!!!
I went to the Dodger game last night and was surprised how much i was rooting for the Indians. I guess it might be that I have been a fan of them since the day i saw Major League... and enjoyed a little American league nostalgia.
I was sitting in my very favorite section; right next to the visiting bullpen (section 52); and taking in the game. The Indians were up 4 runs in the 8th when the Indian's Bullpen did their best Milwaukee Brewers impression. It was fun seeing them warm up and then trot into the game. Borowski looked pretty bad warming up; but went in anyway; and got the longest Ned Yost leash i have ever seen (kobayaski and Bauer; who looks AWESOME were already warmed up and ready to go).
The Indians won the game in 10 innings; but i thought of you guys.
Some of the Dodger fans are a bit much. Though, I did chuckle when a group of drunk guys sang "Wild Thing, you make My Heart Sing!" while one of the Indians was warming up.
Worst (Best???) RAZZ of the night was and, i wrote this down on my vitamin water bottle to save it's brilliance...
Screaming to the Indian's Bullpen:
"We got good weather here. You aren't gonna get any help from Tornadoes!"
(he has a point).
I am going to the game again today and sitting in the all you can eat section. My goal is 3 hot dogs, 2 nachos, and 3 cokes.

Nice
I am heading to the Nats game tonight so hopefully something cool will happen in the stands to keep me entertained.

Wait, what?
Other teams have iffy managing, too? I was under the impression the Brewers was the only one…

Quick, is there a definite article in the name of Frank Black's (kinda) former band?
He's extremely quick and good.

NY Times on Dodger Dogs
Don’t order a Dodger Dog. Ever. Not even if the lady at the stand says hers are the best in the park. She’s lying to you. Get the Super Dog instead.link

Did you sneak a carbon-paper contract
under the paper you gave Sabathia to autograph, I hope?

Hey Jamie
I might be up for braving Chavez Latrine in August when the Crew hits SoCal. (Assuming I can avoid getting knifed in the parking lot by a hardcore gangbanger. And by “gangbanger”, I’m not referring to Jeff or Jim, with or without Ryan Braun in attendance.)

cool man. ...
yeah; im gonna try to go to all three of them… the uw alumni trip to the ballpark was fun last year. i would say there was a group of like 50. we all met up at the bar, the short stop for two dollar PBR’s; and then walked up the hill to the game. We all sat in section 52 next to the brewers bullpen. super fun.
here are the details for this year.
maybe some other Los Angeles BCBers will join in on the fun…

damn
The SF area chapter is doing a baseball game in late July.
As/Texas. Why??? There’s a perfectly good one about a week earlier of Giants vs Brewers…
Guess I’m glad I never joined the alumni association (but I do have my lifetime memorial union membership).

huh? ya. that is really weird...
not much better than a cold beer at the memorial union on a summer night. remember when you could get them in those huge (64oz?) cups? that was rad.
