The portrait is of Mary, Queen of Scots, otherwise known as Seth McClung's ex-wife. When she was beheaded, the executioner's axe missed her neck and struck the back of her head, after which she exclaimed "Sweet Jesus!"--not, as you might think, because of the heinous injury she had just suffered, but because McClung's start was on the TV in the bar across the street and he'd just thrown a wicked curveball.

Just noticed in the MLB.TV window that
the O’s radio broadcast is on WHFS…that’s not pronounced “Whiffs” by any chance?
We’re the league-leading team in one-run games? I need to pay better attention, that totally flew by me until just now.

reading O's hangout forums
A lot of whining about the opening and closing of the roof, like it was done to distract hitters or reduce the carry of the ball for them. After Prince’s HR in the park, I went to check on the rule which I never determined definitively, but discovered that there are “ground rules” for retractable roofs. The home club has to do something like tell the ump and he has to check with the other manager.
Also a hilarious claim that Corey’s HR was lucky because it was a guess swing.

UNC just hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 8th to take a 4-3 lead
Does this mean we’re gonna see Wooten now?
He's extremely quick and good.

Have you seen him pitch at all?
He threw four innings the other day on ESPN opposite the Brewer game. I swear he didn’t throw a fastball, curve after curve after curve. It’s a good pitch, but I’d like to see a little variation, Rob.
