Just drooling over Gamel

Send the man to AAA already! What more can he possibly learn at the plate at AA? Surely Don Money is useful but can’t our AAA couches help him out with his defense? Also looking at his splits today shows he is hitting lefties well too. 1.068 OPS vs. RHP and 0.989 against LHP. Seriously, get the man a Sounds uniform.

I think...

from what I read that they want to mass promote Gamel, LaPorta and Escobar (and maybe Brantley). Until they’re all ready they won’t promote any of ‘em. Plus, they have to be willing to bump down some AAA players to AA or promote them directly to the majors if their playing time would suffer too much by bringing up 4 players at once.

That being said, why wait any longer on any of them? Bring them up now to AAA (as soon as LaPorta is healthy again, that is).

There's a bit of an uproar developing about Helena, it seems

They have a new manager, former big leaguer Rene Gonzalez, and he’s putting some really weird lineups out there (Erik Komatsu, a really good, polished college hitter and third-team All-America selection, batted eighth last night).

On the good side, nice AAA debut for Steve Hammond. I’m boldly predicting he sees Milwaukee this year.

He's extremely quick and good.

Steve Hammond looked great last night in Nashville and what stinks is that we have no defense and are commiting almost an error every day.

maybe Nashville

should become the Braves AAA affiliate then
