Day off

Living in the Twin Cities, I am wondering where the Brewers may be hanging out tomorrow in Minneapolis on their day off. I’m guessing I won’t see Prince at the famous Murray’s Steakhouse downtown. Molitorfan or any other Minnesotans, any guesses?

Post Game Interview

“That’s not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer,” Yost said.

That may be true, but doesn’t the math make him an unlikely run-scorer?

“It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter,” Yost told reporters. “See, you guys have no concept. He’s a run-scorer. So there’s nothing weird about it. That’s what he does.”

by SgtClueLs on Jun 25, 2008 12:00 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah

I’m always torn on that sort of thing.

What actually tipped the scales is that you’re getting all these interviews, and trying to get more. I don’t want some minor league pr guy to talk to you, then see you write for a site calling itself a gangbang. I don’t try very hard to be “official,” nor will I ever, but I probably shouldn’t actively antagonize people like that.

Also, cheese.

But can’t get Campillo out?

Okay.

Fred Sanford er, I mean Jorge Campillo

baffles the Brewers. That was painful to watch.

Why did the Brewers lose?

A. How many times were there runners in scoring position who didn’t come around to score? [insert stock complaint about RISP hitting]
B. Prince Fielder. Not getting a hit in twelve at-bats this series and 0-4 today? [obligatory “needs meat” statement]
C. Jeff Suppan. [length of contract kvetching]
D. Road sweep pressure got to them. [obsession about road losses goes here]
E. They lost. Of course it’s a Yosting. He’s the guy who made the lineup that only scored two runs, right?
F. Ben Sheets. Talking about testing free agency was bad juju. Everyone knows only selfish ballplayers even think about their future, much less talk openly about it.
G. The umpires. Presumably Ned Yost said something to them once and thus they were predisposed against the Crew today.
H. Who knows or cares? They won’t win them all.

I believe it was Lasorda that said it best

You’re gonna win 40 games & lose 40 games. Its what you do with the other 82 that matters most.

Does anyone else

when on other blogs press the Z key and are surprised when it doesn’t go to the next message?
