It's clearly from a newspaper

Consider it akin to Tom Haudricourt’s evil corporate version of LOLCATS.

He's extremely quick and good.

Trenni: Randy Johnson was unhittable early. What changed in the sixth?

Braun: Nothing, really. I’m just a superstar, baby. I just really want to kiss you right now.

He's extremely quick and good.

by battlekow on Jun 3, 2008 9:41 PM CDT reply actions

Obviously fictional

Braun doesn’t announce his intentions, he makes them happen.

Can you imagine?

That would be funny. Of course, being FSN, the camera guys will have missed it.

Speaking of camera guys, we sat behind them a few years ago. I don’t know if they all did this, but one in particular, when there wasn’t action on the field, he’s use the camera to scope out hot girls. I don’t think it was for the filler images in between pitches either - I got the impression it was for his own amusement. A little creepy.

They do more than scope

When I used to live in Valpo back in the early 90’s I remember Steve and Gary from the Loop talking about a tape the camera crew at Soxs Park had sent them. Lets just say it would have been rated M for Mature if it was a video game lol

I guess a lot goes on in the Upper Decks lol.

Its all about the Bullpen this season that is the key.

Seems like the Cubs get behind by a run or two in every game

2-0, 3-2, etc, but come back to win every time, usually involving doubles by Mark DeRosa and Geovany Soto.

My uncle

Worked with Zach in Kansas City and says he has never seen an athlete who cares less than he does… he didn’t understand why coaches kept trying to fix his form, and why he had to go to games on days he didn’t pitch, he had to see sports psychologists and seems like the type of guy that could retire perfectly healthy at the age of 27… isn’t a headcase, but just didn’t seem to get it… but as long as he performs, I guess I wouldn’t mind

Back to the Cubs

Obviously they are off to a great start but maybe there is trouble brewing for them. Rich Hill can’t throw strikes in AAA even. Lilly and Marquis have been having trouble. Gallagher is a 5th starter at best. Dempster hasn’t thrown a ton of innings the last few years so he could tire as the season goes on.

Does Ledezma remind you Vargas? I went to Ledezma’s start against the Reds a week ago and walked away vowing to never again go to a game he starts. The interesting part of the night occurred when the season-ticket holder next to me started talking about being good friends with Jim Skaalen.

The NL Central

Has DOMINATED the NL West

Combined record of all teams in the NL Central vs the NL West is 55-31, 24 games above .500. Against the NL and AL East the division is 42-40, so correct a combined 26 games above .500 (of course games vs the Central are a wash).
