Minute Maid Park tips
I'll be cheering on the Brew Crew next Wednesday at Minute Maid Park. I've never been there before, so does anyone have any tips? My wife and I are staying at the Hyatt and walking to the game. We have tickets in Section 107.
Any cool things to see in the stadium? And very importantly, what are some signature food items there? Coincidentally it is $1 hot dog night, so I guess I'll be having at least one of those.
(any other tips for downtown Houston would be appreciated too; we've got all day Thursday to do stuff downtown)

What's wrong with the light rail?

I would try
to sneak some Tropicana in there. That probably cheeses everybody off.

Chili cheese dog is horrible
the nachos were ok. Lots of mexican food (no surprise there) like quesadilla’s and such. You can also get margaritas and sangria. Whatever!
As a ‘visiting’ fan, wear your jersey and go walk out behind center field….there is a group of really big mexican guys wearing even bigger sombreros that will boo you mercilessly if they’ve had enough to drink.
I was there a couple of weeks ago with my Fukadome shirt so I speak from experience. Crowd was good….not too obnoxious. Park OK….seeing the centerfield hill in person is kinda cool (looks bigger on TV). Train above the outfield is annoying as is the giant CITGO sign out there….nothing like being sponsored by terrorist Venezualen (sp?) tycoons.
Have fun. Don’t try and get a cab after the game…they don’t exist.

The NY Times agrees about the chili cheese dog.
He's extremely quick and good.
