LOL

The question on the poll is “who will win” not “who do you want to win”

"Hey.....Cubs win!!!" ---Harry
"Swung on belted!!!"---Chip

Do you get the sense that its kinda a joke?

Erik Komatsu will probably not win the home run derby…

And neck size to baby eating ratio.

yes i understand

that the one added name was meant as a joke

(I think the whole poll was kinda a joke, sorta a poll mocking polls)

And neck size to baby eating ratio.

So?

I take it you think Braun won’t win?

Yep

Any one else catch Utley saying to the NY crowd-”Boo? Fuck you.”

Priceless

Rick Riley

interesting race commentary by rick riley, i love how that even without any of them being on camera, you could tell none of them knew how to react

by SunglassesAtNight on Jul 14, 2008 8:13 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Riley is a douche

It’s not like MLB said “Find me 8 white guys who can mash”. Big Papi is hurt, A-Rod said no, Junior isn’t the HR threat he once was, Tejada and Hanley Ramirez were lounging in foul territory, Pujols’ arm is hanging by a thread, etc.

All of the previous players are so popular and have such wide followings that they can say no and not have any consequences to their reputations or earning potential. All of the hitters this year with the exception of Berkman don’t have half the marketability of the guys who said no.

Clearly its a problem that MLB needs to address that the elite Latino and black players in the game are so well established and insulated from a fan backlash.

Hamilton will be too tired in the Final Round.

Braun still wins it.

you know what would suck?

“catching” at the HR derby and getting a testicular fracture.

Also, cheese.

by Jeff Sackmann on Jul 15, 2008 1:10 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I'm going to go out on a limb and say

Anything that involves getting a testicular fracture is going to suck.

"He's been very, very impressive," Yost said. "I mean really impressive. I mean really, really impressive."

by MadJimiBrewha on Jul 15, 2008 2:57 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I find the use of quotes around "catching" somewhat disturbing...

especially in the same sentence with “testicular fracture”.
