Alexandre Periard Promoted to AA-Huntsville
Periard was 9-6 with a 3.51 ERA at Brevard with 76 K/30 BB in 112 innings. He's nearing his innings limit so he'll probably be used somewhat sparingly. He just turned 21 and is probably the Brewers second or third best pitching prospect.

Awesome!
Yeah, he definitely has a case to be put ahead of Braddock; he’s already surpassing Anundsen in my mind since I last updated the prospect list (might get around to doing that tonight).
Periard hrows his fastball in the low-middle 90’s with heavy sink, with a plus curveball and an average changeup.

huh
when your teams ‘second or third best pitching prospect’ is French, you may not have a lot of good pitching prospects.
UPDATE: After looking him up, it turns out Periard is from Quebec; but that’s really just splitting hairs.

Great news.
"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.
