An overlooked hero

What a great series sweep against the Cards. Heroes changed almost daily. 20 games in a row with a HR. In the thrill of the wins, one great performance seems to have been forgotten.

I'm talking about J. J. Hardy. He was 11 for 20 in the 4 game set, including a double and a HR. He scored 4 runs and drove home 3. When was the last time a Brewer got 11 hits in a series? Anyone know the record for hits in a series?

it WAS a 4 game series

...and Braun having 8 hits and 9 on-bases in a row was even more impressive to me.

But yes, Hardy has been playing well since the break (and maybe a couple games before as well)

Hardy

He was 11 for 18 with 4 doubles and 3 home runs in Arizona at the beginning of the month. He’s hitting .361/.411/.690 in 170 PA since the start of June.

More on Hardy

He has more than one hit in 12 of his last 21 starts going back to the start of that Arizona series.

Ohhhh

BA/OBP/SLG. I thought when one did three stats in a row like that, it usually was OBP/SLG/OPS.

"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

Rambling Al does obp/slg/ops

but most of the time, it’s ba/obp/slg. you can mock overreliance on batting average, but you can’t kill it.

Also, cheese.
