Are we really going to fly a flag every time the Cubs lose in the next 60 or so games

It is going to be back and forth from 1 game ahead/back .5 games ahead/back, and tied in the standings difference most of the way I predict.

I am fine with a comment on a game thread, but an entire fan shot dedicated to a single loss?

The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.

Agreed

I get that the team has a shot to get back into first place so it’s got special significance, but wherever the Cubs game is being discussed seems like a good enough place to post this (as it was today).

I was going to delete it, but he's kind of a lurker

I appreciate how it can be difficult to break into an online community, to go from lurking to posting, so I figured I’d let it slide. He’s just trying to be cool like you guys.

actually

grobbins hasn’t been posting much lately (I don’t know how much he’s been around, perhaps he can chime in), but he’s been posting occasionally for quite a long time. longer than many of you, I might say :).

Also, cheese.

Wow, you guys sound like the global warming crowd!

Is there a shortage of bytes we don’t know about??? Fly that flag as much as possible where ever you can!

The Wallbangers won because they played the game like kids! Let's do that again!!!

heh

agreed;)

at least when there’s not an obvious thread that people would look for such a thing (like the post-game thread usually)

that's funny.

personally, I don’t mind putting the flag anywhere and everywhere. The only concern I have is that duplicate stuff doesn’t push other things (older fanposts and fanshots) off the front page too quickly.

that, and the SBN brass informed me that if I use too much of the hard drive, I’m going to have to start buying kilobyte offsets. Ouch!

Also, cheese.

My bad guys

I was just following that gamecast, and got pretty excited about the possibility of us getting into first place. I didn’t realize how important these fanposts have become. I will try to be more active to avoid “lurker” status…

How can you not love Carsten Charles?
