When Ned is asked

why he left Suppan in so long, which one (or combination) of these terms will Ned use?

  • “Veteran”
  • “Gamer”
  • “A little bit”
  • “Battling”
  • “Overworked bullpen”

I’m going out on a limb and say Ned uses the trifecta of “Gamer,” “A little bit” and “Battling.”

Damn

The winning ticket is Veteran and Battling. Bonus points if you called “One of those days,” which would have been a good write-in candidate.

correction

“really, really well” as a description of Supp’s pitching is the winner

And again the thing with “one pitch.” That is astonishingly idiotic.

Oh well

I’m not too bummed, it’s going to be up/down like this with the Cubs for a little while, at least until Milwaukee can firmly pull ahead (maybe starting tomorrow!)

Why doesn't anyone play Zork anymore?

I think we’ve all gotten too visual

You have to go to the altar room and pray

Then go back into the house and put the extra stuff in the trophy case.

I should ease off the Zork a little bit methinks.

indeed

It’s a flawed game when winning or losing can come down to a coin toss. Should never happen.

Sounds like the NFL

Horrible game

Not only did I have the most annoying person in the world behind me, spouting nonsense in a high pitched voice constantly. But wow.. what was Yost thinking in the 5th? McClung was up and ready and he let Soup dangle even though the guy is hitting .520 against him.

Just as I thought Ned was turning a corner, he does something to remind us that he’s not very good.

by SgtClueLs on Jul 27, 2008 5:48 PM CDT   0 recs

Agreed

i was sitting next to a 5 year old cub fun who screamed the whole game because he “wanted to go home.”

by Bernie's Mustache Wax on Jul 27, 2008 7:14 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Ohh ouch..

I was pretty heavily hung over (buddy turned 30 yesterday) so having to listen to that chick yell and int hat annoying voice all game was annoying. The worst was when the FSN Camera guy was at the top of the section and she wanted to get on TV. Good god, that was horrible.

by SgtClueLs on Jul 27, 2008 8:47 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

And then has him toss two meaningless innings

once the game is out of reach. At that point just let Mota finish the damn thing and be done.

me if the brews dare to untuck a single shirt!

actually i cant wait until they do and i can see BCB go apeshit and laugh about it

One step further

Tuck your pants into your socks, boys. Lets class this series up.
